Inkjet-printed graphene electronics.

We demonstrate inkjet printing as a viable method for large-area fabrication of graphene devices. We produce a graphene-based ink by liquid phase exfoliation of graphite in N-methylpyrrolidone. We use it to print thin-film transistors, with mobilities up to ∼95 cm(2) V(-1) s(-1), as well as transparent and conductive patterns, with ∼80% transmittance and ∼30 kΩ/□ sheet resistance. This paves th...

Highly reproducible SERS arrays directly written by inkjet printing.

SERS arrays with uniform gold nanoparticle distribution were fabricated by direct-writing with an inkjet printing method. Quantitative analysis based on Raman detection was achieved with a small standard statistical deviation of less than 4% for the reproducibility and less than 5% for the long-term stability for 12 weeks.

Multi-Material 3D Inkjet Printing - Conductive Paths in Polymer Parts

In this paper the results of a research project that deals with the conceptual design and evaluation of cross-company logistics models are presented. A simulation and evaluation model was designed that supports the development of new logistics concepts. Therefore models for the calculation of emissions, of costs and of logistic competitiveness, have to be created and combined. Based on the sust...

Inkjet Printing as a Key Enabling Technology for Printed Electronics

In the past decade, the family of digital printing technologies has evolved from being just a tool to visualize information into a generator of functionalities. The phrase ′printing beyond color′ aptly sums up this transformation. While this family of printing technologies is still widely used to fulfill visual requirements, its development in the generation of functionality, especially in the ...

Inkjet printing of conductive inks with high lateral resolution on omniphobic "R(F) paper" for paper-based electronics and MEMS.

The use of omniphobic "fluoroalkylated paper" as a substrate for inkjet printing of aqueous inks that are the precursors of electrically conductive patterns is described. By controlling the surface chemistry of the paper, it is possible to print high resolution, conductive patterns that remain conductive after folding and exposure to common solvents.
